Indian developer based game FAU-G has taken the top spot in the Google Play Store. The game has already seen over 5 million downloads since it went live on January 26. The locally developed replacement to the widely popular PUBG Mobile has been made from scratch and is now turning out to be hit.

The game is already the most popular free game on the Google Play Store and has already racked up 5 million installs in a day which is impressive. As of now, the Google Play Store rating stands at 4.1. Despite its high rating - the FAU-G game is still a lot way off from perfect. There are a lot of bugs as of now in the game.

The game developer nCore Games announced the game title last year and users were quick to compare it with the then recently banned PUBG Mobile. The game developer had clarified that the game was not a replacement for PUBG Mobile and that it will feature different game modes and gameplay.

The game did launch a number of teasers and finally was available to download on the Google Play Store. The game is still missing a lot of content. It now has a campaign mode which takes about three hours to finish. The game has no guns yet and combat is only melee as of now. The game looks to have been hastily developed and does have a number of bugs. For instance, a Twitter user noticed how one could skip combat by simply running away from enemies.
